More than 137 students from five schools participated in morning activities at Public Park, Al Khaleej Al Arabi, Abu Dhabi. This was followed by a strong public turnout of over 190 volunteers during the afternoon session on 19 April. In Al Ain, the campaign sustained its momentum, with 100 students taking part in the morning and a further 88 volunteers joining the afternoon session at Al Mubazzarah.
Dr Reem Al Kindi, Head of Public Awareness at Tadweer Group, commented:
“The Clean-Up Campaign reflects Tadweer Group’s focus on empowering communities and embedding environmental responsibility at every level of society. The remarkable dedication of our volunteers showcases the power of collective action and reinforced our belief that sustainable change is driven by working together as one team. We are grateful to every student, educator, and volunteer who contributed to advancing our shared vision for a cleaner, greener UAE.”
As part of its long-term sustainability strategy, Tadweer Group continues to implement initiatives that raise awareness for the 3 Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle – and also deliver tangible environmental outcomes. Through a series of interactive activities, including sustainability quizzes, recycling challenges, and upcycling workshops, the campaign equipped participants with practical tools to drive positive behavioural change and foster a culture of environmental stewardship.
Aligned with the UAE’s national sustainability ambitions and Tadweer Group’s target of diverting 80% of waste from landfill by 2030, the Clean-Up Campaign reflects our commitment to community engagement, environmental awareness, and encouraging sustainable practices.
Through this initiative, Tadweer Group continues to promote the 3Rs—Reduce, Reuse, recycle—empowering the public to take an active role in preserving a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
