“Ahmed Ali AlShamsi, Chairman of Tadweer Group, brings extensive experience in asset management, project development, value creation and transformational growth across various sectors. As the Director of the Energy & Utilities, and Infrastructure Cluster at Abu Dhabi Developmental Holding Company (ADQ), he asset manages the cluster overseeing growth and identifying strategic investment opportunities. With previous roles at TAQA and Mubadala Investment Company, Ahmed has led significant projects across multiple sectors including power generation and water desalination. His academic qualifications include a Master’s in International Development, and a Bachelor’s in Economic and Social Studies from the University of Manchester. With a strong track record of leadership, Ahmed is a key driving force in bringing valuable insights and expertise to Tadweer Group.”

Her Excellency Dr. Shaikha Salem Al Dhaheri
Dr. Shaikha Salem Al Dhaheri is the Secretary General of the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD), the largest environmental regulator in the Middle East, and BOD of Tadweer Group. She holds a PhD in Wildlife Conservation and Protection from the University of Aberdeen, making her the first Emirati woman to achieve this. With a strong background in environmental science, Dr. Shaikha has led initiatives promoting biodiversity and sustainable development in Abu Dhabi. She serves on various boards and councils both locally and internationally, contributing significantly to environmental conservation efforts. Dr. Shaikha is a recipient of several prestigious awards for her contributions to the field.

Shariq Daudi
Shariq, Tadweer Group Chief Financial Officer since 2022, leads the financial functions including accounting, financial planning, treasury, and investor relations. With over 20 years of financial leadership experience in the UAE and Canada, Shariq previously served as Director of Financial Planning & Analysis at Emirates Water and Electricity Company. His career includes senior finance roles at TAQA, Etihad Airways, and Bell Mobility. Shariq holds an MBA in Finance from McMaster University and is a CFA charter holder.

Has over 30 years of global experience in the utilities, including waste management, water & Power sectors. Philippe is a versatile leader and has a proven track record of delivering value and creating trusted partnerships in complex and challenging markets, as well as leading and transforming teams and organizations across four continents. Philippe’s core competencies include developing and managing EPC & P3 projects and, O&M services. He is passionate about bringing best global practices, innovative solutions, and empowering his team and partners to achieve excellence and sustainability. He holds a master’s degree in engineering from HEI and executive education certificates from INSEAD and Wharton. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and French.

During his career, Matt has worked with established brands such as Unilever, SUEZ, PA Consulting, Morley Fund Management and Novartis. A strategic leader, Matt excels at leveraging data to drive digital transformation and AI to create business value. With a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams, implement robust technology solutions, and streamline operations, he consistently aligns technology initiatives with organisational goals to foster sustainable growth and a competitive advantage. He holds a BA in Business and Finance from University College Birmingham and an MBA from the University of Buckingham Business School.

Seif Hijazi serves as the General Counsel & Board Secretary at Tadweer Group. In his role, he oversees legal services, regulatory affairs, compliance, and corporate governance. With a background in commercial and corporate law, Seif provides strategic legal advice on various matters, including waste management projects and M&A. Prior to joining Tadweer, he held key positions at ADNOC Group and Borouge. Seif is a lecturer in Commercial and Corporate Law and holds degrees in Law from Philadelphia University and International Business Law from the University of Exeter.

Mariam, Director of the Internal Audit Department at Tadweer Group, is an experienced audit executive with over 15 years in the waste management sector. Leading a team of audit professionals, she executes assurance and advisory engagements across all departments. Mariam collaborates closely with top management and the Audit & Risk Committee to align internal audit services with company objectives. Prior to Tadweer Group, she worked in internal audit at a national security agency and engaged with PwC to enhance internal auditing practices. Mariam holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration with a specialisation in Accounting from Zayed University and is a Certified Fraud Examiner.
