Marking World Clean up Day, Tadweer Group organised a dedicated clean up event, with 270+ volunteers from across the Emirates participating to promote a sustainable and healthy planet.

Held under the theme “make room for life”, the event aimed to raise awareness for reducing waste disposal and encouraging the community to increase their recycling practices.
Duaa, a member of the youth with a passion for the environment, was delighted to take part in the clean up exercise: “I’m very happy to participate in Tadweer Group’s clean up event –I think it’s really important for the community to come out, help each other and recycle properly to help prevent global warming.”

Raneem, a young participant in the campaign, shared her thoughts on the importance of convening the public to clean their waste: “I wish more people would participate in events like this so we can make our world a much cleaner place. This would create a more positive and sustainable environment. I will keep coming to these events and do my part, and bring my friends too.”

The campaign aligns with Tadweer Group’s wider approach to raise awareness among the community for the 3 Rs (reduce, reuse, recycle). This complements the organisation’s sustainability initiatives, including the deployment of 25 Reverse Vending Machines (RVMs) across strategic locations in Abu Dhabi. The machine is also linked to the Tadweer Rewards application, incentivising stronger recycling practices by providing the community with the opportunity to redeem points from an exciting variety of partner merchants.
